Sunday, November 1 || Fall Vision Cookout
On November 1 (All Saints Day, also Daylight Savings) we will gather at John and Judy Collins Farm (:45/1 hour away in Virginia)! The goal is to have ALL OF US together in a large outdoor venue to enjoy fellowship, feasting, and a shared Vision … along with bonfires and smores. We need this as God has been gracious to sustain and grow us in this isolated time. We miss being together. We have not been one large group since prior to 2 services… a necessary adaptation. This will be a special/afternoon and evening and we will arrange transportation … logistics and more information coming soon!
Please remember to pray for our Deacon nominees – we have 9 servants among us who sense a call to this role and have been examined by the session.
We will have a congregational meeting for election on Sunday, November 8th immediately following both services… More information forthcoming.
Friday, November 13 @ 7pm || EQUIP: Love Thy Body
Pastor Bill Leuzinger will lead a time of teaching and discussion on Love Thy Body (Nancy Pearcey). In her book, Pearcey discusses the philosophical foundations that have resulted in a division between personhood and body, between “who I am” and “my body.” She contrasts this with biblical teaching and shows how this philosophical thought has far-reaching consequences in our culture and lives. Read the book beforehand if you can, but come join the teaching & discussion either way!
