Biweekly College Student Lunch

All college students (all levels) are invited to enjoy fellowship and a free lunch every other week after the 2nd service. Our next lunch is 2/5 at the home of Rick & Dawn Hess. 

Mondays @ 10am | Women’s Bible Study on Ruth & Esther

All ladies are invited to a 12-week Bible study on the books of Ruth and Esther from 10-11:30am each Monday morning at the church (beginning 1/16). Prayerfully consider joining us, and text Patricia Jansen (423-505-3181) with any questions. Childcare provided.

1/29 & 2/5, 10:10-10:50 | Sunday Course: Anthropology, Race, & Critical Theory

Critical theory has exerted increasing influence across our culture and society. In this 2-week course, we will lay a biblical and theological foundation for thinking about humanity, race, and ethnicity, especially as compared to critical theory. Taught by Pastor Jim and AJ between the services.

Men’s Lunches

Join us for monthly lunches across the Tri-Cities to enjoy food and fellowship with men at CCC. RSVP to Pastor Bill (276-696-4692) so we have enough room for each lunch.  Upcoming: 2/9 in Kingsport (Stir Fry @ Noon), 2/16 in Johnson City (One Acre Cafe @ Noon).

2/19 & 2/26 | EQUIP: Strange New World

Grab a book out front or order your own copy. Carl Trueman gives insight into the sexual revolution, redefinition of identity, and our world of expressive individualism. Ken Farmer, a Ruling Elder, will lead this 2-week Sunday evening seminar. Childcare will be provided. Please RSVP in front room at shelves.

Wednesdays @ 8am | Men’s Bible Study

All gents are invited to this weekly Bible study and time of prayer at the church.  We are currently looking at the sermon text for the upcoming Lord’s Day. Bring your bible & coffee, and Contact Paul Gorman if you intend to join as location is subject to change. 

Sundays, 6-7:30pm | High School Bible Study

Every student needs intellectual preparation for college/university. This is doubly important when it comes to matters of faith. If you’re a high-school student, we’d love to have you join us during this time as we study the book Surviving Religion 101, and seek to give answers together for the hope that lies within us.
